MANIFESTING DESTINY

Moving Beyond the Veil

Hebrews 9:1-12 KJV "Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary. For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary. And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all; Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant; And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly. Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God. But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people: The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing: Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation. But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us."

Two very interesting points stand out in this passage. First, there is an outer court, which is called the ‘sanctuary’, and an inner court called the ‘Holiest of all’. The priests entered the sanctuary to provide service, but only the high priest could enter the Holiest of all to provide atonement for his sins and the people. Secondly, the people assembled in the outer court, but the presence of God was located behind the veil inside the Holiest of all. The Ark of the Covenant, which represented the presence of God (Judges 20:27), was located beyond this veil. This partition kept people from having direct access to God’s presence.

There's Room Just for You
Posted by Rachelle C. on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 9:00pm
John 14:1-6 KJV "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Learning that Christ is preparing a mansion for each of us seems pretty clear and understandable on the surface. Everyone has envisioned a house they dream of living in one day. The hope of obtaining a heavenly mansion seems even more profound. Some may wish for stainless steel appliances, hardwood floors, sunken tubs, spare bedrooms, a wall-to-wall library, and so on and so forth. Our wish list could go on and on. A heavenly mansion is all these things and more … right?

Before you answer that question, consider this, "If we’re going to receive new bodies that won’t die (1 Corinthians 15:53-54) will we experience being tired, getting sick, or feeling pain in heaven? If we’ll put off mortality and put on immortality, what natural elements in a mansion will we really need? For example, will we need a couch, a refrigerator, or a garage in heaven? Truth be told, we won’t need any of these things. The reality is, we won’t get tired (Job 3:17), so there’s no need to rest on a couch. We won't be hungry (Luke 6:21), so there’s no need to preserve food in a refrigerator. We can’t take anything with us (Genesis 3:19), so there’s no need to store things in a garage.

Man's 'No' vs. God's 'Yes'

Hebrews 6:12-20 AMP "In order that you may not grow disinterested and become [spiritual] sluggards, but imitators, behaving as do those who through faith (by their leaning of the entire personality on God in Christ in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness) and by practice patient endurance and waiting are [now] inheriting the promises. For when God made [His] promise to Abraham, He swore by Himself, since He had no one greater by whom to swear, Saying, Blessing I certainly will bless you and multiplying I will multiply you. And so it was that he [Abraham], having waited long and endured patiently, realized and obtained [in the birth of Isaac as a pledge of what was to come] what God had promised him. Men indeed swear by a greater [than themselves], and with them in all disputes the oath taken for confirmation is final [ending strife]. Accordingly God also, in His desire to show more convincingly and beyond doubt to those who were to inherit the promise the unchangeableness of His purpose and plan, intervened (mediated) with an oath. This was so that, by two unchangeable things [His promise and His oath] in which it is impossible for God ever to prove false or deceive us, we who have fled [to Him] for refuge might have mighty indwelling strength and strong encouragement to grasp and hold fast the hope appointed for us and set before [us]. [Now] we have this [hope] as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whoever steps out upon it--a hope] that reaches farther and enters into [the very certainty of the Presence] within the veil, Where Jesus has entered in for us [in advance], a Forerunner having become a High Priest forever after the order (with the rank) of Melchizedek."

Patience is an act of faith. It is an actual work. The testing or trying of your faith works (i.e. produces or gives birth to) patience (James 1:3). The inner strength that allows one to wait patiently on the fulfillment of a promise from God is based on faith and hope being placed in God through Jesus Christ. When a believer reaches the place of being able to wait patiently on God, that person has full assurance that God has spoken and that what He said will in fact come to pass.

Jesus is the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). This means He is the source of the mustard seed (Matthew 17:20) that you were given at the moment of salvation, but He is also the source of the trials that try your faith and cause it to grow (1 Peter 1:7). It is in the exercising of faith and patience that we obtain the promise (Hebrews 6:15). Like using weights to build muscle, the more you do it, the easier it becomes. You increase your muscle mass gradually when you work out. A new body builder doesn't go from lifting 20 lbs. to 500 lbs. without gradually increasing his or her strength. These "What do you really believe?" spiritual trials come with the sole purpose of testing your faith so that it multiplies.

Let the Shift Begin
Posted by Rachelle C. on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 8:14am
Isaiah 43:18-21 NIV "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. The wild animals honor me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide water in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen, the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise."

In this New Year of 2012, God is going to water the wilderness areas of your life that have gone without provision (Psalm 107:35). The dry places where you have earnestly prayed that He would move will be your places of victory and answered prayer this year. This is the year where unfinished business will come to a close. This is the year where regret, misfortune, and held back increase of 2011 will be turned around in your favor. This year God is going to return to you everything the enemy stole from you (Joel 2:25).

Just Receive the Gift

Ephesians 3:14-21 KJV "For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen."

Comprehending the love Christ has for you will be the greatest accomplishment of your life. In your lifetime, you'll experience the miracles of prayers being answered, seeing your family and friends saved, giving hope to the hopeless, and seeing your dreams manifest into reality, but grasping an understanding of the breadth, length, depth, and height of God's love for you is by far the greatest achievement of your life.
